Team Quality Assurance
Consolidated Cordage – The Quality Company
The Consolidated Cordage Corporation (Consolidated) is certified by the SBA as an
8A, SDB and 100% woman-owned small business. Consolidated has a
thirteen-year history of meeting exacting Department of
Defense quality standards, and has been recognized by the Defense
Contract Management Command (DCMC) for its capability to maintain
a Quality Program. As a result, Consolidated is well acquainted
with the quality standards demanded by the Department of Defense
and the Department of Navy. Consolidated has conducted business
with Department of Navy facilities from the Atlantic to the
Pacific.
Consolidated executives manage to Military
specifications. The company processes meet all Military and ISO
9000 Standards, and are QSL certified by the Department of
Defense. Consolidated management methodically applies those
quality standards which have passed the rigorous and timely
inspections demanded by the defense and contractor community.
The Consolidated Cordage Quality Management
Team (QMT)
The QMT is managed by the
Consolidated Quality Manager (QM) and PM who develop, maintain
and deliver customized Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs). They
ensure that quality policy is
confirmed, audited, monitored and disciplined. The QM views
quality as conformance with specifications, a measurable approach
to quality assessment that complies with ISO 9001:2000. To this
end, the QM:
Ensures clarity of task
specifications and goals;
Integrates task
instructions into a comprehensive and precise quality plan;
Ensures training and
formal qualifications of employees for the tasks they will
perform;
Monitors process
discipline, confirmed by audits, evaluations and trending.
The Consolidated
QM quantifies quality standards and employs a proactive, ongoing “continuous improvement”
quality model that ensures that quality standards are satisfied throughout the lifecycle
of a program or task order:
No matter the size or complexity of a program or project the Consolidated QMT assembles
and issues a quality assurance workbook. This workbook collects all relevant
quality information, specifications, standards, standard operating procedures, forms
and references in one place for each resource. The workbook contains all the
performance tests, inspection criteria and other standards by which performance
conformance to specifications will be measured, and in which this data can be recorded
for later reference, if necessary. These documented, mature, and proven quality
management policies, principles and practices provide a confirmed quality system.
